Hope Starts At Home
WHAT IF THE HELP YOUR FAMILY NEEDED… STARTED WITH YOU?

Hope Starts at Home is a deeply moving, real-life story of a mother’s fight to support her children’s mental health, navigate the silent suffering of her beloved sister, and find light again after heartbreaking loss.

Saroni is not a clinician or a therapist—she’s a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife, and a woman who learned through lived experience how critical early intervention, honest conversations, and community support are when it comes to mental health. After losing her sister to suicide and guiding her children through their own diagnoses, Saroni transformed grief into purpose—opening a mental health clinic with her husband, becoming a passionate advocate, and now sharing her story with the world. She has not only been on the outside looking in on the mental healthcare system, she is also now on the inside of the system deepening her understanding on why there is a lack of mental health care in our communities.

THE COVER DESIGN
The cover artwork for Hope Starts at Home was created by Maya Tewari, a passionate young artist currently pursuing her degree in Art, Technology, and Emerging Communications. Mental health is a cause close to Maya’s heart, and she used her creativity to pour love, intention, and emotion into every brushstroke of this design. Her work is a visual reminder that healing begins with expression—and that art, like hope, speaks even when words fall short.
